Pre-Calculus 11 is designed to provide students with the math skills required for post-secondary programs that involve math or science. Topics include sequences and series, trigonometry, quadratic functions and equations, radicals, rational expressions and equations, absolute value and reciprocal functions, and systems of equations and inequalities. RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: an academic grade 10 math course or equivalent. Students who are not confident with algebra should consider registering for Literacy Foundations Math Level 5 (Math 11 Prep) first to review and upgrade their basic algebra skills.

Students have one year from registration to complete this self-paced online course and must complete 5% in the first month. Learning takes place through Brightspace lessons, discussions, and email communication, and students can meet their teacher for orientation and learning support at the Coquitlam Learning Opportunity Centre (CLOC), located near Coquitlam Centre.
