English First Peoples 12 (EFP 12) is grounded in the First Peoples Principles of Learning. It is designed for all students, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, who are interested in delving deeply into First Peoples oral and written literature and visual texts in a range of media. The course focuses on the experiences, values, beliefs, and lived realities of First Peoples as evidenced in various forms of text, including oral story, poetry, song, performance, film, and prose. Students have one year to complete the course from registration. Students are expected to complete 5% in the first month. Students will participate in various online activities which may include Brightspace online lessons, online discussions, and e-mail interactions with the teacher. Students can meet with their teacher for orientation and learning support by visiting CLOC.
This online self-paced course is offered at the Coquitlam Learning Opportunity Centre (CLOC), located near Coquitlam Centre.
