This online self-paced course is offered at our CLOC Learning Centre and has flexible start dates. CLOC, the Coquitlam Learning Opportunity Centre (map

Students have one year to complete the course from registration. Many students complete in less time. Students are expected to complete 5% in the first month. Students will participate in various online activities which may include Moodle online lessons, online discussions, and e-mail interactions with the teacher. Students can also meet with the teacher by visiting CLOC. Please bring photo identification to CLOC on your visit - check the schedule
to plan your visit.
Note: Your computer should have Windows 7 or later (with the latest version of Firefox or Chrome), or Mac OS 10 (with the most up to date version of Safari). Your Internet browser needs to be Internet Explorer 8.0 or Firefox 3.0 or later. Computers should also have the latest Flash Player, Flash Adobe Reader, and Java installed. High speed Internet is recommended. Computers should also have a microphone and speakers or a headset.
This course is designed to provide students with the mathematical understanding & skills required for post-secondary programs in the social sciences, humanities and arts. Topics include inductive and deductive reasoning, geometry, trigonometry, statistical and proportional reasoning and functions and equations.
