Physics 12 Self-Paced ONLINE CLOC

 

Free to eligible BC Residents 18+ years old.

This online self-paced course is offered at our CLOC Learning Centre and has flexible start dates.  CLOC, the Coquitlam Learning Opportunity Centre (map) is located near Coquitlam Centre.  Click here for schedule and parking information. 
 
Students have one year to complete the course from registration. Many students complete in less time.  Students are expected to complete 5% in the first month.  Students will participate in various online activities which may include Moodle online lessons, online discussions, and e-mail interactions with the teacher. Students can also meet with the teacher by visiting CLOC.  Please bring photo identification to CLOC on your visit - check the schedule to plan your visit.

Physics is the study of the physical world.  Physicists investigate the nature of matter and energy and how they are related.  This course is comprised of two independent modules.  Module 1 is all about Mechanics and covers five major topics: Kinematic, Dynamics, Circular Motion, Energy, and Rotational Motion.  Module 2 is devoted to study of Electricity and Magnetism.  The application of physics to everyday situations is highlighted throughout the course.
