One Stop Party Rentals is looking for part time and full time volunteers to join their team to see if it might be a fit for a paid position. 8 Positions available immediately!
- Job description for drivers position:
Looking for a delivery driver to deliver and pick up rental orders. Must be able to drive large cube van. This job will consist of mostly delivery and pickup as well as odd warehouse tasks when there are no deliveries to be done. Cleaning and repairs on inventory and maintaining a clean warehouse.
- Job description for a warehouse associate:
We are looking for a warehouse associates to do general warehouse tasks, manage dispatch and returns of orders, work with office staff to coordinate orders, maintain a clean organized warehouse.
- As well as an associate to work in the linen room helping to fold and iron the clean inventory for dispatch.
- We are looking for a dishwasher that will wash and polish the dishes and help put away the inventory and other basic warehouse tasks.
- Looking for a prep cook for our fast growing catering company located in Port Coquitlam. Room for advancement. Drivers license is an asset:
Duties will include:
Preparation of meats, vegetables, entrees and more
Maintaining a clean work area
Assistance with catering events

- Food Recovery: Volunteers pick up food from stores.
- Food sorting: Volunteers sort food into clients’ boxes based on the clients’ information.
- Food Delivery: Volunteers deliver remaining food to shelters.
- What benefits come with volunteering:
- If you volunteer more than 48 hours in the charity, ILCS will provide you a reference letter, if needed.
- After distributing food into clients’ boxes, if there is extra food, you have an opportunity to take some food for yourself.

- Big Sister of BC Lower Mainland - Study Buddy Tutor - Cantonese and/or Mandarin Speaking
The Study Buddy program is a weekly one-to-one mentoring relationship that focuses on school work. Littles in this program not only improve their academics but also report a higher level of self-esteem. This program is for all female identifying youth who need academic assistance.
The program requires one tutoring session per week (one hour) for a minimum six-month commitment. Sessions take place at a mutually-agreeable location (e.g. library) with safe Covid-19 protocols or the sessions can be virtual after school or on weekends. The program runs through the summer depending on the needs of the Little Study Buddy and the match’s summer schedule. We encourage our new matches to continue to meet over the summer because even if they aren’t working on homework, they’re building a stronger connection.The program strives to do the following:
- Provide an academic role model to female identified youth aged 7-17
- Increase educational performance
- Promote the importance of staying in school and increase school attendance
- Enhance educational goal setting
- Decrease disruptive behaviour in school
Study Buddies work together to set appropriate educational goals for the Little. With the support of a Study Buddy tutor, Little Study Buddies are encouraged and equipped to improve their educational performance and meet their academic goals, which contributes to their overall self-esteem.
We have a need for Cantonese and Mandarin speaking Study Buddies in order to better support the families that we serve.

Volunteer with our New Beginnings Program - SHARE FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SERVICES
Volunteer with a New Beginnings program. Their are a variety of ways in which volunteers can assist new refugee families and their children. These include: helping with the Parent-Tot Drop-In programs, engaging with families during outings to neighbourhood parks and other family gathering spaces in the Tri-Cities, and supporting families in other ways.

Port Moody Heritage Society/Port Moody Station Museum
The Museum has a big Heritage garden that we look after. We need help throughout the spring and summer taking care of it. Watering it in the mornings, planting, weeding.
We are looking for people that want to help take care of the garden.

WHAT IS THE POSITION?
The Hyack Festival Association in New Westminster is proud to present our 2022 International Parade on Saturday, May 28th, 2022. The following Volunteer positions are available: Street Marshals, Registration, Dispersal Crew and Post Parade Festival volunteers at Tipperary Park. Depending on the role, shifts begin at 7 am and the event wraps up by 4:30. Each shift is between 3 and 4 hours, and longer if volunteers would like to stay. All positions require standing, and volunteers are requested to dress for inclement weather if necessary. Safety vests will be provided to volunteers at the training session at the Hyack Festival Office, 204 - Sixth Street, New Westminster - Saturday, May 28th at 9:00 am
