Deposit Refunds

Elementary Skill Building

There is no deposit for these courses

International Students: Students who withdraw from a course at any time between registration and prior to the third class will have 50% deducted from the tuition refund.

No tuition refund will be issued for withdrawal requests received after the start of the third class.

In order to withdraw and request the refund PRIOR to the course starting, please e-mail cerefunds@sd43.bc.ca (be sure to include the student's full name, the course name and number in the e-mail).

In order to withdraw from a course AFTER the course has started, please visit the office at your Summer Learning school site.


Middle Skill Building

There is no deposit for these courses other than Middle Band. Middle Band charges a $25 deposit for one band course (Beginner OR Advanced), $50 for two band courses (i.e., Beginner AND Advanced) as these courses provide a music book to each student.  If the student wishes to keep the book there is no refund.  If the student returns the book in an unused condition the deposit will be refunded.

Secondary Remedial Courses

There is no deposit for these courses.

Online Fast Track

 

RefundsPlease allow 4 to 6 weeks for refunds to be processed.  Our office processes refunds as soon as possible but there is processing time required for our system provider and your bank to complete the refund.  If you paid your deposit by credit card, check your credit card statement in 4 to 6 weeks.  If you paid your deposit in person by debit card or cash, you will be mailed a cheque from the school board office.


Cancelling a registration prior to the start of the course:  A full refund of the $100 textbook deposit, if collected, will be given

Once the course has started:

If you were charged a $100 textbook deposit and the teacher has decided not to utilize a textbook, the entire $100 deposit will be refunded.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for a refund to be processed.

If the course does utilize a textbook, the entire $100 deposit will be refunded upon return of the textbook in good condition.  This applies both to students who withdraw before the course is completed and to students who complete the course.
 

If the course utilizes a workbook and the student has used (i.e., written in) the workbook, $25 will be deducted from the refund This covers the cost of the workbook.  If the student returns the workbook in unused condition they will receive a full refund.

Students who withdraw from a course at any time between registration and prior to the third class will have 50% deducted from the tuition refund. We reserve the right to charge a $25 transfer fee.

No tuition refund will be issued for withdrawal requests received after the start of the third class.

In order to withdraw and request the refund PRIOR to the course starting, please e-mail cerefunds@sd43.bc.ca (be sure to include the student's full name, the course name and number in the e-mail).

In order to withdraw from a course AFTER the course has started, please visit the office at your Summer Learning school site.



Online Fast Track: Students who withdraw from a course at any time between registration and prior to completion of 5% of the course will have 50% deducted from the tuition refund.
No tuition refund will be issued for withdrawal requests received after completion of 5% of the course.

In order to withdraw and request the refund PRIOR to the course starting, please e-mail cerefunds@sd43.bc.ca (be sure to include the student's full name, the course name and number in the e-mail).

In order to withdraw from a course AFTER the course has started, please visit the office at your Summer Learning school site.
