For anyone who is entering Grades 10 - 12 interested in nature, first peoples knowledge, and good food, join Fresh Roots for a unique 6-week summer leadership and employment program. Based out of the Suwa’lkh Secondary school at Millside Centre in Coquitlam https://goo.gl/maps/t2LvaDogDw3bh9LR8, the SOYL program empowers youth to steward our schoolyard farm and forest for learning, community building, and growing Good Food for All. At the end of the summer, they will receive school credits, work experience (if they are interested) and a stipend. Be part of a fun and supportive community this summer!

Note: this is an all day program that includes a full credit course (Environmental Science 11) as part of the SOYL program.
This program will run from July 5th -August 12, 2021. Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 3:30 pm.

All Summer Advanced (High School) Credit courses provide a full credit course in a concentrated six week time period. Students who complete these courses will receive full credit and a final mark on their official transcript. For course descriptions see curriculum.gov.bc.ca. Summer courses are intense and require daily attendance for success, please register only if you are making this commitment.
