20th Century World History covers the most significant events of the 20th century and develops student's skills as a historian. The course is organized into eight different units covering the years 1919 to 1991, including: the aftermath of the Great War, the Interwar periods in Europe and the United States, World War Two, the Russian Revolution and the development of the USSR, the Cold War, and various events in China, the Middle East, India, and South Africa.

This is an online course with flexible start dates which should be completed within 10 months of registration. Students will participate in various online activities which may include Moodle online lessons, online discussions, and e-mail interactions with the teacher.
Students have 10 months to complete the course from registration. Students are expected to complete 5% in the first month. Students will participate in various online activities which may include Moodle online lessons, online discussions, and e-mail interactions with the teacher. Students can meet with the teacher by appointment and can access additional learning support online. SD43 secondary students can attend a testing/support block at their school.
