Creative Writing 12 is designed for students who have an interest in and a flair for writing. The course is intended for students who wish to creatively express their views of the world through their writing. The course will provide opportunities for students to derive pleasure and satisfaction from the process and product of writing by encouraging students to extend their writing skills and experiences beyond those of the required English courses. The course encourages students to study, read, and write traditional and experimental forms of story, poetry, and other types of descriptive and narrative writing. To enter the course, students need to be capable English writers, having already mastered basic writing and grammar skills and now wishing to explore various styles of writing. CREATIVE WRITING 12 IS NOT A COURSE THAT INSTRUCTS HOW TO WRITE AN ESSAY.
